The PaperDraft editorial process
Reviewed by PaperDraft EditorialLast updated
PaperDraft publishes reference material for students and researchers who are trying to start academic papers. Our editorial standard exists to keep that material honest, accurate, and useful — not to appear authoritative for its own sake.
Every article on this site passes through five editorial roles before it goes live. Each role has a different responsibility and can block publication until its criteria are met.
Five editorial roles
- 01
Content Editor
Responsible for the substance of each page. Writes or rewrites the draft against the target keyword, audience, and intent. Verifies vocabulary, reading level, and adherence to the PaperDraft brand voice before handoff.
- 02
Indexing Reviewer
Audits technical SEO: metadata, canonical URL, headings hierarchy, JSON-LD schema, breadcrumbs, sitemap inclusion, and internal linking. Confirms each page is structured to be crawled and indexed correctly.
- 03
Strategy Reviewer
Assesses fit with PaperDraft’s positioning as a writing workspace. Rejects content that drifts into generic SEO filler or implies promises the product does not make. Ensures every page advances a real business outcome.
- 04
Brand Reviewer
Protects tone, terminology, and calls to action. Enforces a banned-terms list (for example, no “paper generator” or “publication-ready” claims) and verifies that the page speaks as a writing assistant, not as a ghostwriter.
- 05
Conversion Reviewer
Applies to pages closer to the purchase decision. Validates that trust elements, disclaimers, and calls to action meet PaperDraft’s standards, and that no page references pricing outside the product.
Editorial principles
- Writing assistance, not authorship
- PaperDraft helps users begin papers. Published content never implies that the product writes final submissions on the user’s behalf.
- Citations over claims
- Factual statements link to primary sources — university writing centers, style manuals, and peer-reviewed literature — not to rewrites of other SEO pages.
- Transparent revision dates
- Every page shows when it was last reviewed. Major updates trigger a new review across all five editorial roles before republication.
- No pricing on public pages
- Pricing decisions happen inside the product, in context. No public article or landing page quotes figures, tiers, or discounts.
On AI assistance
Drafts, summaries, and structural outlines on this site are produced with the help of AI tools under the direction of the editorial roles described above. Reviewers verify claims, rewrite passages that drift, and discard drafts that fail any of the five checks. Nothing reaches the public site without human editorial sign-off on substance, accuracy, and positioning.
Corrections and updates
If an article contains an error, a broken citation, or outdated guidance, write to editorial@paperdraft.io. Confirmed corrections trigger a new review date and an updated revision note on the affected page.
